Forever Lovelock is a digital keepsake. You engrave a virtual padlock with initials, a date and a short message, choose an exact spot on a rendered rail of a real-world bridge, and watch the key be thrown into the water. The lock then stays at that spot on this site.

Forever Lovelock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated in partnership with the authorities responsible for any bridge shown here. Nothing physical is attached to any real structure. Bridges appear as artistic renderings inspired by real places.

You must be at least 16 years old (or have a parent or guardian's permission) to buy a lock.

A lock costs $4 (one-time), unless a promotional code or gift applies. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

A spot is held for you while checkout is open. If payment isn't completed, fails, or is later refunded or charged back, the spot is released and can be taken by someone else.

Because a lock is delivered immediately and is unique to you, purchases are generally final. If something went wrong — a duplicate charge, a lock that never appeared, a mistake on our side — write to us and we'll refund it.

The Keeper is a $9 per year subscription that includes anniversary reminders, a yearly weathered portrait of your lock, 50% off gift locks, and early access to new bridges.

It renews automatically each year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; access continues until the end of the paid year and no partial refunds are issued for unused time. If a renewal payment fails, the membership moves to a past-due state and perks pause until payment succeeds.

You keep the rights to the words you engrave. By publishing a lock you give us permission to display that engraving publicly on Forever Lovelock, including in search results, previews and share images.

Don't engrave anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, deceptively impersonating someone else, or that exposes another person's private details. We may remove or hide a lock that breaks this rule, and in serious cases without a refund.

If a lock says something about you that shouldn't be public, contact us and we will review it.

We intend for locks to remain on this site indefinitely, and we don't remove them just because time has passed. But no website can promise eternity. That's why every lock comes with a downloadable keepsake image — the copy that survives independently of us.

Each bridge has a finite number of spots. When a bridge fills, it closes and no further locks can be hung there. The service is provided "as is", without warranty of continuous availability.

Your lock. Initials, date, message, lock style and chosen spot. This is public by design — that's the point of hanging it.

Email addresses. Optionally yours and your partner's, so we can send the keepsake, anniversary reminders and account sign-in links. Email addresses are stored privately and are never shown on the public bridge.

Account data. If you sign in, we store your email and a reference to the locks and memberships associated with it. We use passwordless magic links, so there is no password to leak.

Payment data. Stripe processes the payment and returns a reference plus the last details needed for receipts and refunds. We do not store card numbers.

Basic usage data. Page views and technical logs used to keep the site working and to understand which bridges people visit. We don't sell data or run advertising trackers.

You can ask us to correct or remove your engraving, delete your account and email addresses, unsubscribe from reminders, or export what we hold about you. Email requests are answered within 30 days.

Removing an engraving frees your spot; it cannot be restored afterwards. Some records (payment receipts) must be retained for accounting and legal reasons.

Our processors are Stripe (payments), Supabase-backed Lovable Cloud (database, auth, email delivery) and our hosting provider. Data may be processed outside your country under standard safeguards.

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted by the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Forever Lovelock after a change means you accept the updated terms.
